2001 maxima 5 speed
Just started doing this, wont start have to push start it. I checked battery and alternator and they are good does not make a clicking noise that would make me think starter. my lights do not dim, I replaced the terminal connections to be on the safe side. im getting a p0335, but i'm not sure if that would be my problem. makes a humming noise when starting someone suggested the clutch pedal ignition lock switch? any help would be great

Does the engine crank over when you turn the key? The way I read your post, you make it sound like the starter doesn't crank the engine over.
P0335 will keep the car from starting. That code is the crankshaft position sensor, CKPS(POS) that senses the flywheel turning. But if the car runs when you push it, then the sensor is probably ok.
So there are 3 suspects for you to check out. The ignition switch, the interlock switch on the clutch and the starter itself. And there is the possibility of a wiring problem.
You are going to have to get out your voltmeter and check for voltage at various points.
See pages 10 & 11 in section SC of the service manual for the starter electrical circuit.

P0335
im sorry i know this question keeps popping up but im having the same p0335 code replaced both crankshaft sensors the cars acts like it wants to start but wont turn all the way over. like its a hard start and doesnt want to completly turn over and start ive replaced both sensors on the oil pan and the one on the side of the trans, i installed competition flywheel and stage 3 clutch also the master clutch cylinder and slave cylinder.had the battery tested and was at six volts so thats next on my list to replace. but i fear that the battery might not solve the problem. granted the car has been sitting for several months with out starting but befor started right up.and im having trouble building up pressure in my clutch pedal. any suggestions on what else could cause it to crank but not turn over. fuel pump is working and so is the starter.????
