Fuel pump problem please help

last night i replaced my fuel pump in my 03 maxima, and it started right up after turning the key to accesories to let the pump build up some pressure. i drove it around the block and it seemed fine, if not drove better. but this morning, i went to start it and it cranks and cranks and turns over maybe 1 out of 5 attempts and wen it does it will idle for thirty seconds then bog out. i got no clue what to do now that the new pump and filter are in

Why did you replace the fuel pump? Was it for the same problem?

It is possible that the fuel pressure regulator is bad.

Then the usual question - is the check engine light on?

i changed it because the engine bogged out, it would crank all day but wouldnt turn over, listened for the pump when i turned the key and heard nothing. i think it was a spark plug, possibly flooded it because i put in new plugs and it fired up

what brand is the pump. On Nissans the only pumps that will work and actually hold pressure is oem Unisia jecs pumps which are Nissan fuel pumps. Airtex is the worst brand to buy and it wont hold fuel pressure.
