Headers

Hi i recently bought some headers for my 01 max however the headers only came with two O2 sensor ports my car however has 4 O2 sensors is there anyway around that with out giving up gas mileage or Hp please help i have no info on the car the previous owner ripped off all sickers on the car so i have no clue as to which one i have all i know is it has 4 O2 sensors I live in Florida so not really worrying about emissions just want the check engine light to be off

I found mine on Amazon for about $46 each. However, as long as the front two are plugged in and functioning properly, NO NEGATIVE impact will occure regarding your air/fuel metering or fuel economy. Only the fronts are used for fuel monitoring.

The secondaries are only used for ensuring the cat converters are working. If left either unplugged or disconnected, you will only get 4 codes - two for the sensors and two for the heater circuits. No biggie.

Another option is to have two O2 sensor bungs welded in and purchase two antifoulers and then reconnect your secondaries. This is probably the cheapest route and will resolve any check engine light without concern of the sims failing.
