00 Max. Does not go higher than 35mph ??

used trany and had a mechanic put it on for me. It ran just like new the first 3 weeks after that the car would pick up speed really slow and does not make it up to 40mhp. I took it to a transmission shop they evaluated the transmission and they said its really good but it seems to be an electrical problem. Has this happened to any one or knows if this is common. I want to fix this my self i have mechanic experience, i just did not have the help to change my trany by my self. Please help with the best of your knowledge i am new to maximas.

First, check for codes. If you don't have a scan tool, go to Autozone,Pepboys etc and they'll do it for you. It's either your knock sensor (fail safe mode) or your mass air flow (MAF) sensor that's causing your problem.
