Where can I find Tokico Illumina's?

So I'm trying to find a decent deal like I did a few years back on the Tokiko Illuminas and I can't find them anywhere except ebay for almost $400 a pair. That's ridiculous to me when I paid $426 on ebay for a set 4 years ago. Please post anything you know of, thanks.

I have a 5.5 gen 02'

Tokico illumina

I believe they run out of business. Try Autoanything.com or Andysautosport.com. autoanything.com is selling bilstein rear strut only for 5th gen maxima.

Tokico is out of business. KYB or Bilstein is pretty much all that's left.

Wrong! 99 is a 4th gen and the fronts and rear are different than the 5th Gens

So If can't find any Tokico Illuminas what other strut's/shocks are comparable?

Keep in mind I'm looking for a smooth riding shock since I live in the Rockies.

believe it or not a few years ago when I got my 6th gen calipers to upgrade, the previous owner left the brake pads in them... after taking the pads off the calipers and cleaning them I found out that the OEM nissan braked pads were made by Hitachi as well... the brake pads had the Hitachi logo and the nissan logo with the part number...

I replaced my Tokico illumina struts with KYB and had no complaints. Sold the car shortly afterwards.

Illumins are out there but pretty highly priced....I might go with Illuminas again, I was pleased my rears seem to be worn more noticeably than the fronts.....I also am interested in the Koni Sport Shocks which are adjustable as well and less expensive than the Tokico Illuminas so far but require a strut body since the Koni fronts are inserts....

they have went up in price across the board for past couple years now, i looked high and low to find a set at the price I bought them in 2007 and no dice.

Hey 5thGen dudes I found that Prophecy99 is correct: http://www.importrp.com/product.php?productid=344904
is one of the places to get 00-03 Illuminas for $559 w/free shipping, p/n TOKIL-0003Max and I also found another site:
http://www.importcarpartsplus.com/ma...ion.htm#Shocks
Which carries Maxima suspension goods and more all the way back to 86... The Illuminas are also priced $559 w/free shipping!!!!

nice that sounds right! glad I could help! this is a reality! no more crazy deals from performance peddler (2007 era deal came out to around +/- $420)

maybe it is just inflation

Importrp.com says they would be having any Tokico anything til Mid July since Tokico US went bankrupt in 2013...Unbelieveable! I really don't want to go to coilovers I think Koni(s) are my only choice now unless I just wait it out!

Tirerack Koni (Yellows) are on sale for $504....It's a deal that I won't pass up....But waiting on a call from Importcarparts.com! If they have the Illuminas I go the Tokico route! If not, then the Koni route from Tirerack!

Well I tried ordering from importcarpartsplus.com which have the Koni yellows for $500 and the Paypal blank didn't populate and Justin seemed not to want to give the email account needed for me send my payment too...So I went with Tirerack $504 (free shipping)since if anything goes wrong I know where to go....The Koni (yellows) are adjustable and the fronts are inserts which will utilize the stock strut bodies requiring the tops to cut off as per installation instructions. Rumor has it that the H&R sport springs are the perfect match for the Koni struts!!! I'm presently running Progress Technology Sport Springs which are golden! This should be awesome inconjunction with the adjustable Koni's! Tokico(US) bankruptcy is costing them millions not being able to provide a product for their customers....The Illuminas were nearly flawless for 10 years....

I found something for you guys. This was in the brand new issue of Grassroots Motorsports magazine. They got an ad for Tokico from a company that apparently directly imports them.

LINK- check it out
