How/ with what should I cover this?

Im not taking it back out.. so i wont reupholster it (if I do it wont be until I do the headliner black)

I thought about getting the 3rd brake light and getting and overlay that says maxima on it and hooking it up to a switch so I can toggle it on/off.. but other than that im clueless.. anyone have ideas?

You can try finding some felt in the arts and crafts section that is close or similar to the color of your rear deck, and then apply double sided tape like 3M to secure it down. That is what I did in my car on the B-pillar plastics, although a 2014 Maxima, since every time you took off your seatbelt it would be flung backwards scratching the plastic.

Using the seat belt is the problem MO isn't so retarded on the seat belt law. Cities don't make any money off it, so it's not really enforced (10 dollar fine). Can't even turn around to reverse with that stupid thing on.

I always wanted to cut a hole out back there and make a sub box to fit it, so you really get blasted off of the glass.

As far as real advice goes you should just tint the glass. There's too much light when driving untinted, especially at night. Plus, it keeps the populace from looking in.

They made a cover for when you remove the interior third brake light but they are extremely hard to find. I got one from a dealer a few years ago for my Beige interior. Is your interior grey? I ask because the dealer had one last one in grey when I got mine. It was at Ray Catena Infiniti of Bridgewater here in NJ but I don't know if it's been snatched up since then. Nothing wrong with calling them to find out and seeing if they could ship it out.

I had a similar problem when I removed my high mount brake light. Ultimately I replaced it with an SE rear deck, but that will do you no good. Finding a OEM cover is going to be really tough.

Here is a thought. How about getting a small thin sheet of particle board cut to roughly larger than the size of the hole. Then located some felt that is the same color as the rear deck to cover the particle board. Staple that down so it's nice and smooth, and then secure it to the rear deck?

Theres an idea, if I cant find the cover ill definitely do this.

On the other hand ive decided to get my windows tinted soon and I might end up selling this, since the tint may render it useless. We'll have to wait and see!!

Thanks everyone for the ideas, keep em coming!

Duct tape.

And holy crap, this is a really cool addition! I had to research it, I didn't even know what it was.

How long it take you to install?

Took me about 2 hours to put it in carefully and including a run to the store for bolts. Wiring took another 2 hours.

If you want ill see if I can get my hands on another one for you?
