My car has been shaking violently when idle or sometimes when im going up a hill, i dont know what seems to be the problem and it has lost alot of power, if anyone knows what might be the problem please let me know thanks.

 

To me it sounds like a misfire. If it is really shaking then that would be my bet!
However it should have thrown codes for a misfire.

If it is a slight shake while idling it could be the MAF. You can try removing and spraying it with some cleaner. However it may just be dead if it is that bad.

Do you have check engine light?

 

Go to autozone, hook up your car to OBD scan tool to get error code.

 

Probably a bad coilpack(s) or maybe under oil in the rear sparkplug hole(s).....Start inspecting for something then if you find nothing write a thread....

 

 

it has gotten worse yes the check engine light is on so il go to the shop to get the codes read, when i started the car today it was shaking and when i pressed on the gas the car was not moving but after a while it stated moving and when i got to the highway the car was fine but when I'm going up hill the car looses power like its not getting gas or something so I'm confused on what is really wrong.

 

It is probably a misfire. Scan the codes and post them up.

 

Im having the same issue currently and this is a IAT sensor circuit code that I kno has something to do witht he maf.... should I just replace the maf had a mechanic spray it with a cleaner and told me it wasnt an electronical problem... its been in the shop for a week and they cant get it to start .... I have the four codes from a previous visit thier....
