manual to automatic swap

i have a 2001 5 speed maxima that keeps jumping out of 4th and scrapes when going to third. I bought a whole 2000 maxima parts car that is an automatic. I want to put the automatic into my 5 speed car. Is this a difficult conversion and do i have to change the harness???

That's.... That's just... Borderline treasonous.

Idea! And I'm just throwing this out there hypothetically, just for the sake of throwing ideas out there and what not. Lol. But what if you, and bear with me on this, sold the parts car, or parts off of the parts car, like, say, idk, the auto transmission and its components? That should get you enough money to afford a replacement manual box, and it would relieve of having to consider the dire fate of the alcoholism that would ensue following the inevitable regret incurred by undertaking the replacement of the manual transmission with the dreary, dilapidated automatic.

Eh, I'm just a passerby, passing by. It's your car, do your thing.

Depends what kind of job you want done? OEM then yes you'll need the harness. So you can't drive stick and want to swap in an auto. I guess you can do that. I'm removing my auto for a 6speed manual on one of my cars. I have two spare auto trans's for sale and one is basically brand new.

Best advice ever! I was going to suggest that but incase of emoitional attachment I figured I'd spare the OP from the heartbreak.
