02 maxima letting out alot of oil from behind front valve

So i replaced all my spark plugs and gasket(front and back, they were leaking) , but the front valve cover gasket is letting out alot of oil at once, (only from one area, from behind the valve cover) almost a cup full, not sure what the issue is.
I have replaced the gasket a couple of times but it keps happening, what could it be?

**everything else i replaced is fine, except the explosion of oil happening at front valve cover back part**

Use OEM Genuine Nissan valve cover and gasket , use the 2004 .The present valve cover might have a deformity on that side, check it by placing it in flat surface like glass tabletop
I hope is not the surface of the cylinder valve.

The 2004 fits better and is cheaper, just be advised that in most cases any warranties the product comes with will be void.

Usually it's the rear valve cover that leaks on our cars. I would get 2004 valve covers, front and back (better design) and install them on the car with new gaskets. It should fix the problem. They are cheaper than the 5.5gen ones too.

Make sure you don't have any old silicone and that the gasket is actually seating in place and not moving during valve cover installation. Otherwise how much blow by do you have?

Its not leaking like before, this time its letting out oil w force, about a cup will come out at once like something exploded inside, but it comes out from only one area. Someone said it could be the pcv valve, but that's going into the rear not the front.

I bought them at a Nissan dealership this last time and same thing happened, i have checked the valve cover is fine and not deformed and neither is the block.

I cleaned the heck out of the valve cover and the edge of the block of anything old, this seems like too much pressure is building up inside and than being let out at once, oil is not leaking like normal is being forced out in such manner that it ends up all over the place like on the other side near windshield washer fluid reservoir

Did you follow the torque specs and tightening sequence from the FSM?

No, and where can I find that? And if this was the issue wouldnt it leak all around and not explode from one area?

Its 7 ft-lbs torque or 64-84 INCH-LBS
Follow the tightening sequence of the bolt.

With silcone gaskets its best to place the part down then hand tighten the bolts to give the silcone time to cure and harden. Then you final torque to make a great seal.

First time I replaced the rear valve cover I got an oil burning smell. So I went back and cleaned everything and let the gasket cure before final tightening. No more oil burning smell.
