Car not firing
Hello! I'm having a problem with my car. It's a 2002 Nissan Maxima that I bought back in february. I bought it with a timing chain guide noise, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Well the other day, i was driving and I stopped at a light and it cut off on me. I tried to crank it back up but all it did was just turn over, no start. Now I thought it would be the fuel pump cause I didn't hear the fuel pump come on, so i replaced and it is still doing the same thing. No, I checked the spark plugs and ignition coils and its not getting any fire at all. Does anyone no what the culprit might be??

The first thing is to hook up the vehicle to OBD scan tool to check for error code, borrow it to yours nearest friend.
If you try to start it and the alternator is cranking, but the engine is not starting
: check your battery main cable, might be loose or try to clean it.
: check your air filter might be clogged.
: check the fusible link
: check the fuse that supply the fuel pump.
: Most sensor that shows this problem: camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position sensor.
: I hoping that your timing chain did not jump off the gear
Good luck!
