delete Kit?
I am second the motion, install headers
Second choice: gut the two precat,
install 02 nonfouler to the two secondary sensor.

This is all true ^^^
Plus one other option not mentioned is you can get a Ypipe (eliminates one pre-cat) and then gut the other pre-cat and get a test pipe for the main cat or high flow cat if required by law.

I went with above route for these reasons = headers make things way louder + have fitment issues + check engine light issues + visual state inspection issues + negligible gain over Y-pipe & gutted cats setup

My friend you are not reading the posted comment. Maxima have two precat and one rear catalytic converter. Your problem is a clogged precat which eventually mess up the engine. Most of the forum will tell , is to gut the precat meaning you remove those mesh inside those precat so it will be free flow. You will install 02 nonfouler to the two secondary O2 sensor so it will not throw an error code. Do not buy the precat. This is the cheapest solution if you can do it yourself, even if you will pay a mechanic.
