Quick OEM oil filter question

What is the part# for the OEM oil filters that are the good ones, made in Japan - not the Mexico filter I know are 15208-65F0E.

Or what is better than OEM? I have a 2003.

Thank you

Oil filter

The OEM is crap, I highly recommend Mobil 105 , only available in amazon.com
The extended Bosch Oil filter
Amazon.com: Bosch D3323 Distance Plus High Performance Oil Filter, Pack of 1: Automotive Amazon.com: Bosch D3323 Distance Plus High Performance Oil Filter, Pack of 1: Automotive

Not sure what makes the OEM filter crap, but it is the only filter that I ever use. High micron filtration medium means that some others flow a bit better but the OEM's ability to filter is a bit better. I have only used OEM filters on every Nissan I've ever owned. Part number I always use is 15208-9E000. The dealer my shop wholesales through keeps them in stock because they know I come for them. Lol.

In the end, as long as you don't completely cheap out it's heads or tails either way for the most part.

Oil filter

I am referring to this Nissan OEM Oil Filter 15208-65F0C, most of dealership is selling. The part # that you posted is the best as long as the filter is Made in Japan. If made in china, the quality of filter paper used is the same as Fram oil filter .

Nissan dealership now are selling two types of parts:
OEM Genuine Nissan Parts: Made in Japan
OEM Nissan aftermarket parts: Advantage rotor and brake pads
Throttle body that the dealership is selling for 5th generation are mostly remanufactured:$260.00. Brand New OEM :$460.00 and hard to get

It's been a long while since I've looked at those studies. They're probably bookmarked on my old computer if the links still work. So I'm afraid I don't have that information. I do remember that the OEM filter was not the best flowing or the best filtering, but it was very good at both. I want to say Purolator was up there as well as STP, and Mobil 1. I remember deciding on going with the OEM based on the overall results that I found on several tests, but it has also been several years since I looked at any of that.

I'm not going to say it's hands down the best oil filter ever made, but it's the one I use and it seems to do its job quite well.
