5th gen with copper plugs?
#2
Copper needs changed about every 30k, platinum last 100k.
But to answer your question, copper will work fine.

I actually I'm super low on money now sadly. Changing them at 30k doesn't bother me now. This would be the only time I ever use coppers on the car

Copper actually offers better performance. Platinums last longer that's it. But if you're going to get platinums get the laser double platinum like you had oem don't be like these cheap fakes that buy the dollar platinum and think they're cool. So go with NGK copper. Cheap, easy, and fun!

Wrong. All NGK plugs have a copper core, the precious metals go on top. Only difference is how long they last. ![Nod](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/nod.gif)
OP, I would spend a little extra now, it makes much more sense.
No performance difference at all between the plugs, just how long they last.
That said, you can spend $15 now for the NGK regulars and do it again in 30k miles, that's if those plugs make it 30k.
Or just add a $20 bill to that 15 and get something that lasts longer, it will end up being almost exactly the same amount of money spent over the same miles, but you wont have to do the job twice. I know moneys tight but come on, anyone who owns a car should be OK with spending an extra 20 bucks.

The coating makes the plug harder to fire. Might be insignificant, but just straight up saying WRONG, is douchebaggery. Copper is for forced induction, or nitrous use. The coated plugs do last longer, hence COP. COP is because the plugs get harder to fire with the newer coatings on them. Either work fine in a N/A setup. I use the coppers, and I have an extra twenty.
