01 Maxima AC not very cold

My AC isn't very cold and I have it on fill blast. It takes a long time to get cold. I checked the freon pressure and it's good. My cousin has the same car and his AC is a lot colder.

Make sure that the pressure isn't too high. I recently went through my a/c and I charged it to the max recommended pressure, and it didn't blow very cold, because the compressor kept cycling on and offbecause it was cycling the high pressure switch. I just pushed the Schrader valve and let a little out, and it got considerable colder. Good luck.

Thanks WTF, I'm having the same issue. I'll try this after work.

If the AC system in the cars is of the automatic type where you set the temperature - the system depends on three temp sensors to work properly. The FSM has the procedure for kicking the AC panel into diagnostic mode, and it'll tell you what the temp sensor reads are and has a troubleshooting procedure for each. Usually when the temp sensors code, they fail open, so the temp will read 99.9. Mine did, but the result was the warm temp never blew very warm.

I just went through this also. The shop filled it to max capacity which was too much. The question is how much should I let out? Supposed to be 90 tomorrow, so we'll see if its still cold.
