Is the Megan catback a good exhaust for my 02 max and are they cop magnets?

Megan catback with no headers and a stock cat is not terribly loud, but people driving behind you can definitely hear it, and drone inside the cabin can be loud at times. I drove my Max with a Megan catback daily for about a year and never got any extra attention from cops though.

You can search the forums and find plenty of videos and sound clips if you want to hear for yourself.

IMO, yes and no.

I've never had a problem with cops for it being too loud, they've never mentioned it. I don't think it's loud enough for that. But, car will definitely get way more attention in general.

You will have drone in the car, and you will also need to readjust/mod/replace your exhaust hangers for the piping not to hit under the car.

Besides that, just watch (preferably on any device with decent BASS, otherwise the real sound won't come thru):
