So its coming close to the time when my car will be paid off and i will be able to start doing a lot of mods, i want to get an aftermarket steering wheel for my car, but i've been noticing that they have hub adapters for a lot of cars, however, i don't know what the right adapter to get for my car would be, i found an nrg 350z/g35 adapter but i am not sure if it would be the same fit, they also have a 240sx adapter but i doubt that will fit at all, I'm not sure what to do at this point, i don't want to take apart my steering wheel just to find out that i have to put it back together more than once. help would be appreciated

call momo, nrg or sparco and buy a good wheel/hub combo...I wouldn't suggest buying separately because some people want the horn and a few controls to work so I suggest buying from the same company....the last thing you want is for your wheel to come off while driving ( yes seen it happen). A lot of people use the 350z setup but there's something different about it I forgot what, not a big issue though.

I have a hub hanging around my place...somewhere if you were here id just give it to you.

 

I was thinking of getting one of the ones that flip up and lock for added safety in my car, also the quick release does seem like if it were to detach I would be almost impossible to get back on in an amount of time that would prevent freeway injury

 

lol the quick release is designed for raw track use....its not gonna come apart on your commute to work.


and having a steering wheel bent upwards towards the glass will attract onlookers...which you dont want

 

 

Not sure it would work, especially with cars with airbags, if you were to do that, then you definitely will have an SRS light glow, and if you were, and that is a big if, you get hit head on, then you will not have an airbag, but hit your skull on the steering wheel. If the are going to be just for daily commute to point A to B then it would be pointless to have a quick release steering wheel. Unless you live in an area where any car would be stolen frequently every second.
