Anyone have this trans problem?

Car rpm started jumping a few hundred when hitting the gas. Slowly it would get worse and now to get any acceleration i need to be at around 5k rpm.
Is this a clutch or gearbox?

Definitely not the gear box. It sounds like the clutch is worn out and slipping. When you hit the gas, does the engine rev up right away and the car slowly accelerates or is the engine very slow to rev up?

The engine revs up like it would in neutral but it slowly accelerates and picks up speed at around 4 or 5 k

The thing thats confusing me is that there's no grinding of any kind when i change gears. No clunks no chatter no vibration.
