Groaning rotational noise under load, 01 Automatic

Hey guys,
On my 01 Anniversary edition I am having a groaning rotational noise that happens under load. Like when I goose the gas pedal or try to accelerate quickly. It does not happen if I accelerate slowly, and it will go away while I am just cruising at speed and it does not happen in reverse. I thought it was axle related so I change both of my axles....no change. The only thing I found when I was searching was that the 6th gens have an issue with a noise under acceleration that is related to broken exhaust shields. Does any one have any experience with this? At this point the car is stock except the y pipe. I am thinking I will swap back to the stock y pipe just to rule that out. Any ideas??

I should also add this seemed to happen once I lowered the car. Before I lowered the car I did not have this noise, but as soon as I lowered the car the noise was there. I also did the y pipe around this same time (I can't remember if they were the exact same time or within a few weeks of eachother). So I assumed when I raised the car the noise would go away. When it did not go away, I assumed I trashed the axles while it was lowered. So I replaced both axles with new napa axles, and nothing changed.

same issue I have with my 01. The noise is the tires that are going bad, no matter what you do to the alignment, the noise will be there. It happens when you lower your car. Try swapping tires with another car just to rule that out. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice but that is not my problem. I have put 3 different sets of wheels and tires on the car and the noise is exactly the same on all of them.
