Brake pedal

Changed my masters cylinder bled the brakes by procedure and it's still needs to travel a distance before the brakes catch. But when they do catch they brake normally is there any way to adjust the brake pedal??

No.

It takes a long time bleeding to get all the air out after replacing the brakes master.

Did you bench bleed it?

Has the brake pads changed or was it the same? Since if you just replacing the master cylinder, there's not going to be a difference on your brake pedal travel with the same brake pads. In other words, the pads wears down, as it wear, the brake pedal travel will increase. Goes opposite of when new brake pads, it's thick as OEM specification. your brake pedal travel will be shorter. SO what was wrong with your master brake cylinder in the first place?

The pedal was really soft and when the car was in the air you were able to still spin the tires with the brake pedal fully depressed. I haven't changed the pads but everyone who looks at them tells me there is still about 80% left even though they are making all kinds of noise. I'm not a mechanic so I dont know that much about brakes and stuff
