Is this sound normal?

So ever since I bought my Maxima in April of this year, even when I took it for the test drive, I noticed an odd sound coming from the engine, though I still bought the car I've always wondered what the sound might actually be. It's fairly loud and sounds like my car is exhaling but not inhaling, try it, exhale and hold it there, thats exactly what my car does.

Do all Maximas have this sound?

I recorded a video and posted it on youtube so some of you guys can possibly help.

The service engine light also popped up yesterday.

That's pretty ugly! It sounds like a bad bearing like maybe the alternator, the alternationer belt tensioner or the a/c compressor. Take the alternator belt off and start the car and see if the noise goes away. If it does, then you have to figure out which one.

Well then, take the one big serpentine belt off that runs the alternator and a/c compressor and start the car.
