New Cheaper Alternative for Headers?

Just ran across this again on my ebay watch list....For those that may be real budget conscious.

Likely Not for the faint hearted as far as install goes either. Cant say i see any brand marking of any sort pictured or mentioned..new ebay seller as well.

Even cheaper than the budget line from Megan racing (cant recall name)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/181504884784...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

$142 shipped!

What do you guys think??! Thought others may wish to see this. would you risk 142$....Im not in the market for headers anyhow.

Actual fitment probably isn't bad (if they're cloned exactly like SS Autochrome), but there's no hanger on them, so you'd have to weld one on. It's something you can use at dirt cheap replacements for deleting the precats, but not much else.

^^Someone going to have to bite the bullet here and confirm fitment concerns.
^Yeah i was surprised it said 3 inch outlet..seems a bit odd as most ebay maxima components are 2.5"

2.25" I guarantee it. You can see how it's not that much bigger than the manifold runners.

There are a couple write ups in the 4th gen section iirc.
I have them on a 3.5 swap, but not their y pipe.
Warp y bolted to it.
I would recommend you replace the studs and fitment varies a little from batch to batch, so check to make sure it sits flush when/if you buy them.

Probably be good for a nitrous or supercharger setup where you're just pushing it out, and exact scavenging is irrelevant.

You have these exact headers?? this what you paid?
I shouldve checked the 4th gen section i suppose. if you still have your unused y pipe can you confirm the outlet size?

I made the mistake of buying these not too long ago. I got them and set the flanges (header to engine block) on a flat surface and could see a lot of air underneath...so after a couple hours with a grinder, belt sander, and a straight edge I believe my new stainless gaskets (not the ones that came with it) will hopefully seal it up. Also, the welds on each individual pipe (3 to 1) don't have a flat surface for the exhaust nuts to tighten down all the way. The nuts hit the weld before sitting flat on the flange like they should (stock headers are machined flat in this area), so I'm trying to decide if I should fab up some half circle spacers, so my welds don't crack, or if tightening it on the welds will be ok. I would not recommend getting these as they are a pain with fitment, and everything. I haven't put the engine back in the car yet, but I'm guessing I'll have to do some tweaking for the y pipe to fit the headers as well. It also appears to be shorter than my stock Y, so I'll have to put in a spacer between the aftermarket y and the cat or something. Again, not really worth it, but I'm stuck now. Should've waited for OBX or just gotten a Y and not worried about headers.

I would love to try them for $142!!! It's really not a lost! Is the collector really 3"? Hell no! It doesn't look bigger than 2.25 honestly! Is it a big gain? I doubt it but it's better than the OEM cast iron units! It's worth the try or if you want more power there's some eBay Altima headers that need fabbing but are a SS copy of Hot Shot Headers!

I think getting this kit and modding it to fit won't be that much....for those who crave longer primaries this is it...

^^Using the altima headers requires a custom y pipe right among other needed mods(grinding/cutting). This isnt a whole lot more money.
