Hello everyone, I am new to these forums and I wanted to know if there is any big issues regarding the 5th Gen Maxima. I am coming from a C5 Corvette to one of these for the mean time. There is a 2001 Maxima with a manual transmission for sale with 140,000 miles for $2700 in my area.

Are these cars reliable? And what should I look for when I am checking it out? And is there any big problems with these that I should be aware of?

 

2001 i30/maxima seems to have a problem with ideal air control valve iacv look out for check engine lite

 

What about a G37?

The downgrade won't be as harsh...

 

These cars are great! I've never had any problems with mine and they run well right into high mileage. There's a mileage thread floating around and lots of members are 200K+... Even a few 400K+'s!
