Hello I have just purchased a 2002 Max GLE with 140k miles on it. This is not my first max. Anyways I have this noise when I start the vehicle and when I shut the vehicle off. It also seems to kick in around 2k RPMS. The following link is a video of the exact same sound that my max makes. This is not my video but describes the sound exactly as I hear in my vehicle. I have thought it may be the catalytic converter as if I stick my head under the driver side wheel I can hear it alot better. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Pics of the new max to come!
