2001 max AE problem

So my max has always been problem free until today. I drove it to the grocery store and noticed steam or smoke coming out of my hood. It was raining and cold Chicago weather so I didn't worry about it at all. Then as I was driving home it wouldn't let me go past 2500 rpms. I was confused so I added coolant because for some reason there wasn't any coolant in the box. That didn't help. I tried starting it up and the service engine came on with the oil light flickering. I still could not rev past 2500 rpms. I turned it off and started it up again but it kept shutting off as soon as I turned it on. Then I tried gassing it while turning the key and it helped stay on. The heater now does not work and it sucks cause it's cold in Chicago. I don't know what to do now. I had my radiator replaced 2-3 months ago. What else could it be? I haven't had an oil change in over 3500 miles but I was planning on doing so today. Any other suggestions? I'm scared for her

When you saw smoke coming out of your hood, did you look at your coolant gauge? Was it pegged in the red zone? Did you check the radiator for fluid, or just the box (overflow reservoir)?

The second you see smoke, you're supposed to pull over and shut off the engine. Sounds like you kept driving because it was raining...if so, you may have just blown your engine.

So many things to check now....

Blown headgasket
Water pump
Clogged heater core
See if cooling system holds pressure
The list goes on and on...

W/e the cooling issue is (like wizard said), maf is blown and you better check the oil.
