cold start

I have 2001 maxima won't start if cold unless I give it gas, couple of time, pl help getting, different advices like fuel pump, fuel filter or catalytic converter. is it IAC valve may be ? Thanks

Could be many things. Most likely it is your upper intake manifold gasket.

Could be many things:
1. Battery weak/low,
2. Bad MAF sensor,
3. Bad/failed IACV
4. Malfunctioning fuel pump, fuel filter, FP regulator
5. Fuel injectors leaking.

Does the car run well once you get it started? Does it start OK when not cold? Any codes, or "INCMPLT" indicators? (You need ODBII reader to do that).
