VQ30de rear main

Ok About a year ago I rebuilt the 3.0 in my daughters maxima and it runs great except it has a rear main leak after six months and it is annoying me, has any one tried a seal saver on the rear main I just want to get it right and be leak free.

When the rear main seal started leaking on our 99 maxima, I replaced it. I didnt try any type of seal saver.

I would say to just replace the seal. I did it the long way, taking down the oil pan and everything. I was talking to some techs at Nissan that said when they do the rear main seal, they are able to do it without fully taking down the oil pan... You could look into that if you wanted.
