Adding a Sub to the Stock BOSE Stereo?

Has anyone added just a sub to the stock BOSE stereo? I would like to add a little more bass to the car. How hard is it to add an amp and sub to the stock system, and are there any companies that make stealth boxes for the 00+ Maxima's? I know JL audio makes one for the 95-99 Maxima's but I have not found anything for the 00+. I don't want to loose much room in the trunk and I don't want to have to worry about putting anything in the trunk that could hurt the sub.

Thanks for any help

John

Newbie, check the search, i and many other people have wrote about this topic. But to answer your question, adding a sub is no big deal to a bose system.

First of you will need to wire up a new amp for the subs, that is same for every car. Secondly, you need to get signal from the bose into the new amp, well this can be done by tapping into the LOW LEVEL inputs right near the bose sub in the rear deck. The small white wire at the connector is + and the small black wire is the - Remember that these are LOW LEVEL inputs and should not be installed in the new amp into the speaker level inputs, they need to be either spliced up to a RCA cable and then fed into the amp or however is easier depending on the amp.
