5th gen engine probs

I want to know if anyone has had problems with their oil pressure sending unit is that a common problem with 5th gen?? Also, has anyone had to replace their wheel axel boot? Im looking to get it replaced soon i want to eventually put lowering springs on. THANKS

Unless you are dropping real low you shouldn't have to replace the axle boots (CV boots).

I don't think oil pressure sending unit is a very common problem, but I've seen some people have problems with it. Usually it's the seal that starts leaking on higher mileage cars, not the unit itself that's bad.

I had to replace my axles, and that was before I did my suspension. Meaning my boots were shot on stock suspension and only after 90k miles. That said, just don't go too low (less than 2" drop) if you don't want more axle problems in future.

If you do replace the actual axle, you need to get axles with VIBRATION DAMPENERS.

Aftermarket axles pretty much dont have that rubber damper but its really not an issue, so long as the axle itself is quality. Millions of used cars on the roads without those dampers.

My axles are new and no issues, there was no vibration dampener.

Maybe it has to do with your mount setup
