Coils?

Hey guys, hit a curb earlier this week, took the car apart and I'm almost positive the only thing damaged was the front strut, possibly the wheel too but disregarding the wheel, I think it was only the strut. So, that brings me to the next thing. I originally had planned at replacing the front struts with some cheap ones but then I had planned on lowering the car for a while now so I thought this would be the time if I were to do it.
I was looking at gr2 struts with the vogland springs that come with. which is 410 shipped on ebay, however, they do not come with the mounting hardware or dust boot or anything like that so I would have to buy those which would bring the total to over 500 dollars. Then came the idea of coils. I am looking at the megan ez streets which are 690 shipped.
to those that have experience, are the megan racing coils worth it? They are their cheapest ones and that's all I can afford. replies soon hopefully as I want to be able to drive the max again soon, thanks!

Never heard of vogland springs...

Doubt cheap coilovers will last as long as similarly priced spring setup

Any drop over 1.5" should be done with coilovers

I looked at the LCA and it seemed to be fine, where would it most likely bend?

This one you can definitely tell that the mounting assembly was trashed.

Yeah, the mechanic quoted 1500 for the repair. although he didn't take the car completely apart. over the past couple days, I have taken most of the suspension and stuff apart. The first thing I suspected was the knuckle and the hub but those both seem to be straight. Next I checked the cv which also seemed to be straight. Then I took both the struts out and saw that it was bend pretty bad.

I am, replacing the struts are going to be the first thing. Hence the thread asking about coils or strut/spring combo.

So all factors out, if everything else was fine, the Megan racing ez coils over the kyb strut/spring combo?

I'm more than likely getting the ez streets in the spring. Perfect for city driving. Plus if you get the spring/strut then you have to worry about pressing the springs in without killing yourself

This has all been a learning experience, learn as you go. However, that being said, I REALLY wish that the struts are the only thing needed because I'm quite broke now

If you are that broke take the bus for a few months until school's out and fix it then. You are 17 years old worry about doing well in school!

Definitely, though I have things I have before school and work after school so I am currently sharing a car with my dad, not the ideal situation but yeah. This thing has been a "do a little bit when I have time" type thing.
