So my 2000 has a steering wheel that is flaking. The previous owner was a woman that I suspect liked to pick at the leather wrap on the wheel with her nails. The top middle part was already so bad that I cut the thread and pulled it off. Underneath is a tough smooth material that I much prefer to the leather wrapping. It's skinnier too, like a racecar wheel. Has anyone gone ahead and unwrapped the whole outer ring of the steering wheel?
