87.5% Throttle

Plugged in my OBD 2 reader and opened torque app on my phone to check live feed of my car. As some of you know my car spikes in RPMs at random times and jerks randomly at 2k RPMs.. I tried flooring it and the throttle meter would only go to 87.5%. It never hit 100. Does it mean my TPS is bad? Is that why my car is acting like this?

perhaps it isn't delivering fuel b/c it thinks you don't have your foot down....

time to swap TBs with someone (or junkyard but that will cost)

That's the move. Do you just replace it by taking the old one off and placing it ontop? Then reconnecting the wires?

That's as far as it's going to open. Not sure why they do it like that but it's not broken.

It could be normal operation. A lot of manufacturers don't run their throttle bodies from 0-100%. I'm not sure why, but like my tacoma for instance. It's at 11% fully closed, and 78% fully open.

Do you have a 00-01 or 02-03?

That makes a difference because 00-01 have the conventional cable/ tps throttle body, and 02-03 are DBW.
