Wheel is trashed anyone else?

Just wondering.
Never seen a good one that matches my color in the yard.
I talk to some interior people and got quoted 500-550 to redo it.
Those wheel skins look kinda crappy. Everyone else has a ragged wheel too?

Yuck.

Car-part.com or go crazy asking sellers on ebay.
A lot of times you can ask someone who is selling parts from the same year and they may have access to other parts.
That's how I got my shifter and cables; from a guy selling a center console out of the same car.

A WTB on the org might be a good idea as well.

What color is that? It's hard to tell on my screen. Looks like the light grey.
There are a few 5th gens in the u-pull it yards around here. I might be able to match one up for you.

Exactly. Do you guys nibble on it like rabbits when stuck in traffic or what?

Wear rings with sharp edges?

...I don't get it. I've never destroyed a steering wheel like that.

It looks like 4th gen steering wheels are inter-changeable, so you could expand your search. Your entire steering column looks exactly the same as mine, including the headlight and wiper stalks. Haven't done the swap, so you should verify. Basic black may be a nice upgrade from that color, too.

Mine was so bad that I had to pull off the outer skin. Honestly it looks far better that way. It is blackish brown and I have black wheel.

I'm pretty sure they die particularly in warm humid conditions like Florida where I live. Between the oils from your hand and the humidity, they get bad. Its kind of like the center console, clock and window switches on the 00-01. They basically melt down here.

Never seen one in a upull down here that was any good.
