Touch the gas pedal & she dies

Hey All...

Newbie Maxima owner here. I have a 2000 that I'm bringing back to life. She sat for a while. I've changed oil and gas, and belts and pulley.

When I start her up... she'll idle just fine, but when I touch the gas pedal, she tries to stall and die. If I'm very careful, I can gently get her to idle up to about 3k rpm, but if I'm aggressive with the gas pedal, she'll try to die.

Any ideas?

She has 200,000 miles, but is in good condition. I'm going to clean the Throttle Body and the IACV tomorrow. Have new gaskets arriving at the dealer Monday.

I really appreciate any advice you have.

Thanks!!

The first thing to check is to make sure the MAF is plugged in.
Have you checked for codes?

So I took the car out for a spin in a parking lot. She tries to accelerate but just can't. Ive cleaned the Throttle Body and the MAF.

Any ideas? Could this be the IACV?? I'm leaning in this direction.

Thanks!

Could be the IACV. Maybe even the TPS sensor as well.

Could be MAF, fuel, or exhaust restriction.

I would actually say IACV is less likely since you said it idles fine, bad IACV would cause idle issues.

Thanks for the help. Any pictures of the burned chip? I need to research how to remove the ECU and look at it. I'm new to the Maxima world. I've been working on MB's for years.

WHere is the ECU located?

Thanks
