In dyer need of help asap

Well i was doing a tune up and changing my spark plugs when one of the coil pack bolts broke in half. Its pretty flush so i couldnt secure my coil pack which left me with a misfire
So i tried using a screw extractor to get it out and that just turned into a nightmare What should i do ? And also since my manifold is apart is it safe to spray throttle body cleaner to clean it

Needle nose and prayer.

If all else fails I would pull the vc to expose more of it, but that's last case.

Doesn't look too bad. Get a good bit and drill it out. Realllly slowly. Then get out the tap and die set if an extractor won't work.

Plug the nearby tube with rags.

Grab a punch and a hammer and hit dead center on the broken bolt. Then start with a very small drill bit. Then move up to the next size bit. Then the next size. As you approach the size of the bolt, it will basically disintegrate when it gets super thin. Then extract with needle nose pliers. Vacuum the shards out. If done right, you won't even affect the threads or need to re-tap it or do anything. Very simple to do, just a test of patience really.

These most likely not work but less invasive, but if you have a magnet that cylindrically narrow enough to just magnetize the broken bolt and not the surrounding die. Maybe you can try to superglue/super metal adhesive the broken bolt to something with more grip leverage.

worse comes to worse, drill it out. if the threads are messed up, just tap a die yourself, too easy.

Yeah, clean up the Intake Manifold with clean, throw-away rags sprayed with brake cleaner or other solvent, then wipe off paying especial attention to throttle body area, like don't touch it with any force. I sprayed the cloth first, it made it much easier for me.

If you have a mig welder the easiest way would be to get a nut and weld the inside of the nut to the broken bolt then you can remove it with a socket. This method also works well on broken manifold studs especially when you have aluminum heads when heating it up won't help.

Did you look at the pictures? That's a great idea, but there is no way that your suggestion is even remotely applicable in this situation.

Agreed. A little too small. Looks like a job for either a small easy out or drill bit.

7 dollar tube of auto silicone, let dry over night, cheap easy fix. Put A small amount the size of A peanut where you stripped the bolt and press firm, find something to put weight to hold it firm over night, tell the mechanic that wants 175 dollars forget it lol....unless you got tools and drills

JFC.

Either get an easy out or swap the valve cover.

This isn't rocket surgery or brain science.

You know, I misread the OP.
I was thinking it was the coilpack that broke. Whoops.
Just replace the vc.
