just curious

i was driving my car today and had my radio off and realized that my engine was very loud .I have owned many maximas but for some reason my car or rather my engine sounds loud.Its all stock with only 38 thousand one owner miles 2003 gle.When i got on it it sounds loud and i have good exhaust no leaks, just wondering if our engines are loud.

Odd post but yes, the vq's aren't exactly quiet.

Mine is barely audible when idling in park after warming up.. but i will say that when driving around it is pretty loud in the cabin. Not annoying though

Mine is just quiet as a soaring glider when RPM<2000. But above that, audible I would say.

3.0 SE 2000 with 170k miles

my engine throaty as fuark when driving especially 2500-3500rpm but on idle barely audible

Nonsense.

You guys sound like the losers writing magazine articles about the 350Z.
VQ is very smooth running and quiet. Boltons are the only noisemakers.

It's relatively a louder engine though, it gets really throaty compared to other V6's.

Only other V6 I can think that is kinda loud is the J-Series in the 3rd gen TL's

Nope, even at 2000rpm the engine sounds like it's going nuts
