K&N air filter
#2
I've had my K&N filter for close to 14 years now, and I've not had a problem. Do I get a performance boost? No. Better mpg? No. The reason I got it was because I can reuse it and it has definitely saved me money over the years. In saying that though, I'm going back to paper as it lets in a lot more dirt, as found by the oil analysis I did. Again, I have 240k miles on my car and the extra dirt hasn't done any damage, but it's gotta go...
I cleaned the filter for the last time and will do another oil analysis with a standard filter on my next oil change to see the difference. I posted the analysis if you want to take a look. Silicon (dirt) universal average for a vehicle is 14, and my Max had 26.

hate to be the one to say it but K&N filters dont actually work well trapping debris until theyre actually already clogged with debris/can get a snowball effect. regular paper filters are usually better
