I have the Megan springs on the EBAY yellow shock/struts. No problems, and the car handles so much better. Don't know if that helps, but they are stock replacement.

It's been done before. Depending on the condition of your stock shocks, they will hold up for little while. Eventually they will blow due to limited travel as they are not intended to be used in that way. I can't speak for the ride quality, but imagine it will be pretty bad once the shock blow.

Thanks, do you recommend any other shocks? or can you direct me to the ones you've got?

I just bought Vogtland springs that I'm gonna be putting on Stagg struts. Installing them next week, so I'll let you know how it goes.

These are the exact ones I bought to run with my Megan springs. A little over a year, and no problems yet. I daily my car to work, so they are used pretty good. I feel that they are well worth it.

I know it's been said before. Many times. I love my illuminas mine are with stock springs due to my near future plan. The ride is very nice. Not to mention you can make your car race car stiff or caddy soft. Highly recommend.

Thanks I just seen your review on Amazon while searching for illuminas, do they make rear struts that fit 2002 max's too?

Absolutely. I believe 2000 to 2003 are the same. Not sure if 4th gen fit but someone else may.
