Can anyone tell me if the K&N filter really boost horse power. I removed my stock air filter from my 2000 maxima today and drove a few miles and couldn't tell any difference. I was wondering if i install K&N will I have same result.

 

If you go with the replacement panel filter you will yield about 2-4% gain which isn't that much. Go with a Stillen or Place Racing cold air intake. Much better horsepower gains. Believe me, I've had both.

 

It dynoed 2 whp higher I think...but not really noticeable..

I did not notice a difference when I put it on but when I took it off the car felt a little slugish.

It has minimal gains but is worth it. You never have to buy an air filter again

 

To be honest with you I personally didn't like it, this is going to sound strange, but when I had it in for 2 days, the car seem to be bogged down, it didn't accelerate, liked it just did 2 days before, I returned it, got a Fram filter, and went right back to normal, I don't know why but it happened. From what I understand, as the K&N filter gets dirtier it works better...don't ask me how it works tho.

 

Hmmm, I think I'll start offering these too. I'm going to have an intor price of $0.50 ea (just kidding)
