Jumpy / Bucking acceleration in 1st gear
Hey guys,
I really don't know a whole lot about cars, and I don't have much money or a trusted mechanic, so I wanted to ask you first...
I have an automatic 01 maxima, with approximately 120k miles. I bought the car from the original owner, a senior citizen whom treated the car very well. I drive pretty hard, and I change the fluids fairly regularly, but not much else....
For at least the last year, in first gear, usually when cold, my car accelerates like I'm a 15 year old girl that's afraid to push on the gas. It almost makes your head bob up and down a few times when it's really bad, but it is very hard to demonstrate as it does not always happen. I don't really notice it in other gears, and I think it becomes less noticeable as the car becomes warmer, HOWEVER, I have done some reading on the subject and one mention seems to be an auto-protect feature based on the warmth of the engine. I want to make it known that I live in Phoenix, AZ, where it is often above 80 degrees Fahrenheit before I've even started my car for the first time that day...and it still happens.
Again, I don't know much about car or car maintenance, just the necessitates like changing the oil and brake pads, etc. Would you recommend a sort of fuel injector cleaner, or some seafoam or something? Any leads as to what this could possibly be?
It has gotten to the point where occasionally a passenger in the car will notice it and give me a strange look, and I have to explain the situation... lol

As I said before, this has only been noticeable for the past year or so. I've owned the car at least 6 years now. Also, I live in phoenix, AZ, where it is often pretty hot outside already...I don't know if that's even relative when talking about the warmth of an engine, but I figured it might be since most people live in places where its freezing in the morning...
Also, I should mention this is not occuring during the shift. This is pre-shift, purely just accelerating up to a point where the car will shift, and then generally runs smoothly...
