2001 Maxima revving driving on it own?

Hi guys. I have an 01 maxima se anniversary ed. After it warms up it seems to rev up to around 2500-3000rpm,i have to hold the breaks harder when stopped and it causes my tranny to shift hard since the engine rpms dont come down. Here is a video I took of it, i hope it helps? Any ideas?

It sometimes starts sluggish but always does. I have replaced the starter already. Ithas p0420 and p0160 both of which are going to be fixed shortly, waiting on parts.

search for iacv

Everyone from every company that approved of the design for coolant through TBs needs fired and blackballed.

lol, so i checked out what i could with the iacv as you suggested. it looked ok, i tested the ohms and got 23 across the pins. I plugged it in and cycled the key to test plundger movement, which also looked ok.. I do not have a p0505 code. do you figure i should just replace it anyway?

on a side note, just past the throttle body i found a lot of wax / grease? what could that be?

replaced the iacv

Hey, just an update.. I ordered a new iacv and in the mean time put up with the rpm doing their thing. I put the new iacv in this morning and now the car will start and shut off immediately. Should I just put my old one back in and get another iacv or is there something I'm missing?
