Heater core replacement

one of the heater core pipes broke off where its going through the firewall and needs to be replaced. does anyone know if I can fix this by removing just the glove box, and taking the evaporator core out (like the 4th gen) or does the dash have to be pulled?

As I recall, you can get to it through the glove box opening, like the 4th gen.

Taking off the dash doesn't actually give you hands on access to the heater core, you still have to go through the evaporator core opening. You would just have more room to work in.

ouch the heater core? I know the connectors are plastic, which should be cheap since a new heater core does not have a connectors from what I have seen in person.
