01 maxima 20th aniversity for 700 need bank 2 cat

it in nyc $700 or best offer might take it . Bank 2 Cat it needs hell Better then a trans. But what I don't get he said it's starts after a few tries my thing is can a cat if bad enough cause a car to not start it's got over 200k

Can I cut that cat out and install a megnaflow cat alot cheaper then nissan cat at $532

You can put a Magnaflow (or any other brand) cat on. But I really don't think that will solve the starting problem.

Doesn't need a cat unless it's actually clogged ( use sim or defouler).

One of the crank sensors is probably bad or dirty.

But, since it's modded, this guy is probably on here and would know how to fix it. So, that sounds fishy unless they bought it like this. You need details.

Your pic shows the main cat. You can just punch that out. The cats described by which bank they're on are the precats. That's not going to stop it from starting unless there are severe issues like oil burning, which doesn't happen on 3.0s (if it does then the motor is toast).

If you just keep cranking it should start if a crank sensor is bad/dirty (I just pull the one off the tranny and clean the metal shavings off, then they start fine). There are two of them, though.
