Possibly going back to stock. Value of Berk intake for 2000 Max?
I'm giving the I30 to the fiancee after 9 years. We just got a Jetta TDI Sportwagen.
So she wants it to be a bit quieter. I'm not going to bother swapping out the Cattman Y, but we will definitely be replacing the muffler back to stock.
The question is this... I have 35-40K miles on the Apexi filter, so I'm debating if it's more cost-effective to put it back to stock and make some money back off of the intake, or to replace the $40+ filter. She only puts 6K miles/yr on it, so cheapo stock paper filters will do her just fine while also reducing the noise.
What is the estimated value of a Berk intake? The latest threads I could find were from way back in 2012-ish.
Thanks all

your first mistake was getting a VW lol! Jk! Congrats on the new car! as for the max... IMHO the high flow filter doesnt add or reduce a ton of noise. I remember when i first got my max and it just has that awesome roar to it no matter how stock it is. Might be a good idea to take the filter back to stock just because she may not know how to take care of that nice filter and the paper ones are low maintenance. If she still feels like the car is too loud after you put the stock muffler back on... the only thing i can think of to replace would be the resonator. Hope this helps.
