I'm still in disbelief. Tonight I was out cruising, and this white V6 Avenger hauls up next to me and starts pacing me. We're going about 60, and he guns it first, with me going right afterwards. My ****ty auto actually shifted into second and I started pulling on him like crazy. At 100 it's beyond over and I let off the gas. The ricer flyby never suprises me anymore, but when he cut me off and threw a ****ing pop can at my car while we were still doing better than 95mph, I was caught pretty off guard. I swerve, but no where near in time, and the damn thing hits my left front hood just to the left of the headlight. Now I have a golf-ball size dimple there and the paint is chipped away. It gets better though. A cop was coming up the on-ramp just behind us and saw me swerve, and pulled me over. I told him that the guy was ****ed off for some reason and threw a soda can at my car, hence the reason I swerved. The cop called in something and told me to be more careful around here, because "road rage is no joke." Gee, thanks...at least he didn't catch me racing, but as a result the other guy got away clean before I could even get his license plate #. Now I get to go to the body shop Monday and see how much it's going to cost to have my hood repainted and the dent removed. Dammit, I still can't believe this happened to me. What the hell is wrong with people?

i would have caught up and got the plate number and worry about the cops later... i'd explain what i was doing and leave it up to that... just can't let the guy go, expecially if i know i have the faster car.

i had a hit & run one time and i had to chase the guy down while on the phone w/ one hand w/ a 911 operator. she said to pull over and wait for a police, but i said if i don't catch him, forget it! we went through a red light and dodging traffic, but i got his plate, THEN i told the 911 operator i'd meet the police. few months later, a guy from the insurance company called and got $$ for the bumber damage.
