14.3 is good..especially if u've never driven a manual tranny and had a horrible launch..happens to all of us...when i went to drag race in my car for the first time, i smoked my tires for like full 5 secs..

correct - timer for your elapsed time doesn't start until your car breaks the laser beam at the start line. Actually there are two beams - the first one you use to stage your car, the second starts the e.t. when you hit it. You could sit there for 2 seconds and have a 2.xx reaction time and it would make no difference in your elapsed time. Of course, the guy next to you would be WAY down the track by then and "beat" you to the finish line.

In drag racing, the winner of a race is NOT necessarily the one with the fastest e.t.

Awesome time. Out of curiousity, what RPM were you shifting at and what gear did you end up in at the end of the 1/4?

my launch SUCKED!!! couldnt get the feel one for all this torque and 2.) this manual tranny thing is catching on quick

the track rule is if u run 13.99 u have to wear a helment.... i plan on wearing a helment next time i hit the track!!! im gonna find some road and work on some launchs!!! i am gonna hit the dyno real soon too!!!
