High pressure power steering flare but stripped

I need help please.

I'm trying to replace my high pressure power steer hose on my 2001 infiniti i30
But I can not loosen the flare nut bolt that connects to the assembly by the strut tower.

I have stripped the bolt completely

I tried 14mm crows foot wrench
PB blaster
A regular 14mm wrench
Vice grips

Nothing works I'm afraid I will either have to pay for this fix $400 or cut the line and pray that a regular socket will work please help me

Thank you

Try some new vice grips once you clap down on it,tightened the dial a bit more on the vice with channel locks or a small pipe wrench.... this brass fitting runs all the way back to the steering rack fastened at several points along the firewall on the way there, if you can't get it loose I'll be major pain to the **** region trying to replace it....

Just to be correct.. To loosen the bolt I should turn toward the firewall or away

Thank you everyone for advice!

Take out the sensor and torch the **** out of it before you try again.

Heat always works for me.

Keep working with the vice grips, getting them as tight as you possibly can. Heating it up would no doubt help.

I don't like the idea of cutting the pipe unless you have a tubing cutter. A saw will put metal bits/shavings/dust into the system. But it doesn't look like you could get a socket on it at this point, anyway.

I had cheap vice grips and bought some new good ones from homedepot. I tightened the vice grips on the bolt with a wrench and tapped it several times then used my muscle to break the bolt free.... THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

Now I replaced the hose but I get a whining noise when I turn what could this be?
The reservoir is full

Improper fluid?
A new leak?
Bad pump?

Air is still in the system or it's one of the hoses that whines (common issue).

Also, I hope you didn't use power steering fluid lol

how well did you bleed the system?

lots of people claim noise with non-oem hoses, so that might be the culprit. however, mine is silent. i suspect bleeding it properly makes all the difference

Aftermarket hoses will more than likely leave you with a whining noise.
Many years ago, needed one in a hurry so installed an aftermarket hose,
it's been whining ever since.

Raise the front and with the car running turn steering wheel slowly through full turns left then right a few times to relieve the air, keeping an eye on the fluid level.
If there still is a whine, so be it, aftermarket junk.

I was checking for leaks after install and notices my banjo bolt at the bottom didn't have a seal on it and a very small dripping leak coming from it.

Can I bleed the power steering this way by draining all the fluid and turning the wheel left and right then add the missing seal then fill with ATF fluid?

No. The objective of bleeding is to remove any air trapped within the PS fluid.
Need to replace the crush washers, fill, then bleed.
