No Acceleration - 2k2 A/T

Hello,
I've been experiencing an issue with my 2002 Nissan Maxima SE Automatic. Around three months ago my alternator went bad I saw the battery + brake light and the battery would randomly be dead.
So I went ahead and replaced the alternator with a lifetime warranty one from a parts store.
This was great for about two months until the car randomly started doing this thing where it just would not accelerate and it could have this happen in gear or while stopped it didn't matter.
It just sits there at about 500RPMs and wont go past 900RPMs, and if it's in gear it'll coast until it loses speed until the point where it will not drive.

Now what I've noticed is that if I drop it in Neutral or Park the car will return to normal capable of being revved. If I rev it up and let it sit a bit it'll then allow the car to accelerate again. It goes this is both Drive and Reverse.

Side note: New battery, new belt twice, and 4 different alternators.
There is a P1800, and the car has an evap leak. The evap leak has existed with the car for over a year.

Thanks for reading those of you that read it all the way.

Only asking this because I'm about to take it to the dealership and if someone has experience with this and I can save that money that would be great.

Check your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). There are a number of posts on the subject, just search for "will not rev" (in title only).

So I went ahead and cleaned the throttle body with the ignition in the ON position while doing so.
A lot of issues seemed to be solved at first the idle was shaky and bad, but after about 3-4 minutes it smoothed out and now startups are great.
Alternator is still junk I was running it for hour/hourhalf to see what was going on with it.
10-20 minutes it would charge 13.9-14.7 volts.
10-20 minutes it would charge 10.0-11.9 volts.
So bad reman again.
Any suggestions on potential replacement? I was thinking I could upgrade to Bosch at the store or if anyone has a good link to an OEM reman or new.

Try the Hitachi/Tyco (new) from Rockauto.com.
