WRX vs 01SE 5spd
Me and my Max raced my friend and his WRX on the way home from the gym. Never got home that fast before 
We had about 5 runs.
First: Left turn onto the on-ramp floored in 2nd gear out of the corner. WRX had about a car length at the start and increased that to about two cars by around 200. (I was thinking he would walk away big time. He was probably thinking he'd walk away big time and not have to race again).
Second: I was in 4th gear at about 140 and I punched it as he drove by me. I stayed at his door until we slowed at about 200 again.
Third: I was waiting for him in 3rd gear at around 130 and wanted to honk three times to start the race. On my first honk, he took off. (His car accelerated fast even from that speed. It looked really neat seeing it take off like that). I took off after him. He gained a little through my 3rd gear and the bottom of 4th. But the top of my 4th seemed to bring him in somewhat. We raced up to around 210 and had to slow. We ended this race very close to each other.
Fourth: I was in front and wanting to race. I wasn't sure if he wanted to race anymore so I accelerated and backed off twice. While I was backing off (just a little) he was going strong and he pulled on me the most of all the races. However, the top of my 4th gear was awesome again. And, for the first time ever, I was concentrating on a good 4-5 shift.
The WRX is faster but not by much on the highway. If the Max is in the proper rev range the races are very close.

i raced a WRX at the track last time i went and told him to dump his cltuch at 5k (his best ET before launching hard was a 14.2) he listend to me and ran a DAMN 13.9!!!! it was stock except a foam intake and boost controller!
