Catalytic Converter cost/replace myself?

Hi. I've been having issues with my 02 Maxima. I was having issues with my cam sensor and fixed it myself. However I took my car to Meineke and they said I need a catalytic converter. But it will be $600😩. Is this something I can fix easily myself?

Do you have any codes? How did Meineke determine you have bad cat? Get a second opinion from a reputable independent shop. Don't drop $600 just because some chain shop said so.
