Trace a Template of Block off Plate (BOP)

I found a sheet of 0.25" Aluminum in my Garage and I feel like working on fabrication skills for fun. (Already ordered NWP Phenolic Spacers, so no I'm not cheap, I just like to try things for myself)

Anyone willing to trace a template of their BOP on a piece of 8.5"x11" paper, scan it, and email it to me? I probably sound lazy for not wanting to go out to my car and measure the VIAS opening but I figured I'd ask anyway before doing it

Pete.

Unfair? Sorry but NWP doesn't own the rights to the BOP. That's a stupid thing to profess Chris...That's like saying CXJPerformance's BOP isn't fair to NWP.

Anyway I did it myself...And I wasn't planning on making this to sell to anyone, it was for the sake of having some fun and my own personal improvement.

Since I had the extra metal lying around and wanted to try my hand at making something myself, here's how I went about doing my custom block off plate:

1) Traced the shape using a cardboard template:

2) Had this aluminum laying around, which happened to be the perfect thickness:

3) Traced the template on to the Aluminum, cut it out using a jig saw and cleaned it up. Drilled the holes using a drill press and polished it up a little bit and viola new BOP!

Easiest mod ever... take the old vias assembly out, grind off the shelf. Weld a tiny plug in the hole. Done... Wash your hands after.

I personally don't prefer to destroy the stock part, just in case. Plus I had the extra metal so this was more fun in my opinion.

I'm actually working on doing this right now. I've already cut the shelf and I'm going to thread the hole and put a bolt in it.

I already have a home made BOP so this is really a back burner project though.
